Explore Welding!

IMG_7165.heic

High School Welding & Fabrication takes students from strong fundamentals to real shop-ready capability through a clear, signed-off skills progression. Once students demonstrate proficiency on their checklist, they move into real-world projects—learning how to plan, fit-up, weld, and finish work to a standard that holds up outside the classroom. Every critical skill is evaluated and documented, giving students a tangible path to confidence and proficiency. Students ages 17+ may submit one weld test to the American Welding Society at no charge, provided it passes the instructor’s visual inspection first. All students receive our Kilroy’s WeldWorks textbook.

Program Highlights

MIG/GMAW, TIG/GTAW, Stick/SMAW

Students progress through a defined skill pathway through each main welding process.

Fabrication Fundamentals

Once students have the base welding processes, we can start putting those skills to the test. Some projects will be independent, and others will be group-oriented.

Blueprinting, Cutting, & More!

Students also learn how to write/read blueprints and welding symbols, cut materials using various tools, and explore different career paths.

  • Sturdy closed-toe shoes (work boots are best). NO Crocs!

  • Long hair tied back
